Some good friend’s of ours Aaron & Helena got married this past weekend and we were lucky enough to be there to celebrate with them. Craig used a couple vacation days and we headed across Iowa to stay at his parents in West Liberty. It was a very busy weekend, full of friends, family and good times, but I didn’t hardly take any pictures! Luckily Craig got a few, but I wish I’d done a better job! Especially when I dressed up for 4 days straight and didn’t get a single picture! That just doesn’t happen anymore!
Thursday, Craig and I went to the bachelor and bachelorette parties, respectively. Friday, Lori, Michelle and I went to the Stringtown Grocery Store and the Country Store, both in rural Amish country. We made a couple stops at a meat market and cheese shop too. Fun time away from the kids! Then later Friday, we had the rehearsal. Liv had cute dresses for the weekend, courtesy of Grandma Nancy. Here she is at the rehearsal.
Then Saturday, we had the wedding! Craig was an usher and I sang. It was a good time seeing old friends and spending time with family. Congratulations Aaron & Helena! We are very happy the two of you found each other! Here’s Liv and Daddy, my cuties. Playing with bubbles! Craig’s sister Lindy, Ted, and our nephews and niece, Gunnar, Conrad and Bennett.
And a special treat! We got to see some old friends! Here is Lydia and Jason, but we also saw Cricket and Mattycakes and pregnant Jessycakes!
Then Sunday, we went to church at Veritas in Iowa City and saw some more friends! It was great to see you Bryan and LisaGrace! And you Clint & Miranda! On our way home, we made a quick stop up at Ames to see our friends who just had a baby! Liv loved baby Willow! : )
